The MysteryShopper(tm) is a UK-based independent small business undertaking Qualitative Market Research concentrated mainly on a personal experience
level.
Developing a scenario in conjunction with the client, so a mystery
shopper can visit a site posing as a genuine customer.
Reporting findings to
managers who are personally unable to conduct such research because they are
known
to the person that provides the service, and because they are too familiar
with the business to provide an objective opinion on it. Reportable attributes
range from operational issues, such as security and attendance, through
pricing and competitor activity to personal qualities of the service provider
from
friendliness to sales skills/product knowledge.
The real key to our strength is being able to look at any industry/shop/staff member with complete impartiality, as "Joe Public" giving an unbiased report as an almost genuine potential customer.
